function (ref.16). The blinking letters
CAr
appear
on the display on the right. By turning the
V
regulating encoder (ref. 21) you can change the
electronic inductance value from -75 to +100 with
respect to the established value 0.
3 seconds after the end of adjustment, the display
shows the welding voltage again.
To view the SELECT MODE value at any time,
briefly press the SELECT MODE
button
until you
get to the CAr function.
The CAr function allows you to change the
dynamic characteristics of the welding arc; for
welds with the presence of splashes, increase the
CAr value; vice versa, for welds in which the wire
tends to stick and burns with difficulty, decrease
the CAr value.
6)
Regulating the wire BURN BACK
Press the
SELECT MODE
button (ref.12) until the
led blinks indicating the
BURN BACK
function
(ref.14). The blinking letters
b.b.
appear on the
display on the right. By turning the
V
regulating
encoder (ref.21) you can change the BURN BACK
value from 02ms to 160ms.
3 seconds after the end of adjustment, the display
shows the welding voltage again.
To view the SELECT MODE value at any time,
briefly press the SELECT MODE
button
until you
get to the BURN BACK function.
The BURN BACK function consists of a delay in
switching off the welding arc with respect to the
stopping of the wire feeder. With the value
SELECT MODE at 002, the wire feeder stops at
the same time the arc goes out. For high welding
currents it is advisable to SELECT MODE the
value at 002 (make a few tests).
Incorrect regulation of this parameter may lead to:
BURN BACK too low: at the end of welding the
piece of wire protruding from the torch is too long;
it is therefore difficult to resume welding.
BURN BACK too high: at the end of welding the
piece of wire protruding from the torch is too short
and in extreme cases the wire may stick to the
current supply pipe.
Wire burning may be optimised, avoiding the
formation of final residue (bead) by changing also
the end burning current.
7)
Regulating the BURN BACK wire burning
end current
Hold down the
SELECT MODE
button (ref.12) for
more than 2 seconds. The blinking letters
End
appear on the display on the right. By turning the
V
regulating encoder (ref.21) you can change the
intensity of the cutting current from 10 to 100.
For example, for wires with diameter 1mm
SELECT MODE 50, for wires with diameter 1.2mm
SELECT MODE 70.
3 seconds after the end of adjustment, the display
shows the welding voltage again.
8)
Regulating the PRE-GAS time
Press the
SELECT MODE
button (ref.12) until the
led blinks indicating the
GAS
function (ref.13). The
blinking letters
PrG
appear on the display on the
right. By turning the
V
regulating encoder (ref.21)
you can changee the PRE-GAS value from 0.1s to
2.5s. 3 seconds after the end of adjustment, the
display shows the welding voltage again.
To view the SELECT MODE value at any time,
briefly press the SELECT MODE
button
until you
get to the PRE-GAS function.
9)
Regulating the POST-GAS time
Press the
SELECT MODE
button (ref.12) until the
led blinks indicating the
GAS
function (ref.13). The
blinking letters
PoG
appear on the display on the
right. By turning the
V
regulating encoder (ref.21)
you can change the POST-GAS value from 00.5s
to 30s.
3 seconds after the end of adjustment, the display
shows the welding voltage again.
To view the SELECT MODE value at any time,
briefly press the SELECT MODE
button
until you
get to the POST-GAS function.
10)
PURGE gas output function
Pressing the PURGE button (ref.19) directly
enables the gas output electrovalve to make the
gas come out of the torch.
11)
INCH manual wire advance function
Pressing the INCH button (ref.20) enables the
motor of the wire feeder; the wire is immediately
made to advance slowly for two seconds, after
which the speed increases. The purpose of this
function is to make the wire run inside the torch in
the welding preparation phase.
MIG 2 TIMES welding procedure – manual
regulation
Starting welding:
1) Hold down the gas PURGE button (ref.19) for a
few seconds to purge the gas.
2) Press the INCH button (ref.20 ) for manual
advance of the wire, so as to make the wire run
through the torch until it is just protruding from the
nozzle.
3) SELECT MODE the welding parameters.
4) Perform welding: press and hold down the torch
button; for a short time the gas will come out (pre-
gas), then the wire will start to come out and the
arc will be lit; the arc will remain lit as long as the
button is held down.
5) It is possible to change the characteristic of the
arc using the CAr function. It is recommended to
start welding with the value SELECT MODE at 0. If
any splashes occur during welding, increase the
CAr value; instead, if the wire tends to stick and
burns with difficulty, decrease the CAr value.
6) During welding the left-hand display (ref.24)
shows the value of the SELECT MODE wire speed
(expressed in m/min) or of the real current
