Tether brackets should be placed 7" to 12"
from the end of the worksurface. Tether
brackets supporting the rear corner can
be placed on either side of the corner.
When the straight leg is used as a shared support, it can be placed in the
middle of the worksurface to provide increased kneespace. The tether
bracket can also be shared by two worksurfaces.
Tether brackets supporting the rear corner of an extended corner
should be placed of the longest side.

Shared Support
When pedestal or lateral file is used as a shared support, it must have
a tether bracket behind it and must extend at least 4" under each worksurface.
C legs, individual supports, rear supports, and end panels must be
connected to another freestanding support with a stretcher. However,
when using a spanner, freestanding supports and tether supports may
not be used together even when freestanding supports are connected
by a stretcher.
Caps, extension caps, and spanners require a straight leg in the front-
shared position.
When attached to 2" wall, tether brackets must clear closed slots. If
closed slots make sharing a tether bracket impossible, use two brackets,
one on each worksurface.
For extended corners that require a third tether bracket, it should be
placed within 12" of the center of the worksurface. For example, it
may need to be placed off-center to clear a "Dead Zone" in a 2" wall.

Dual corners cannot accomodate a front corner leg next to the keyboard,
only a front shared leg. 72" + 78" duals need 3rd bracket. 78" dual needs
3rd bracket even with a ped.
