5 Operation

5.1

Switching on the Device

1.  Switch on the device at the main switch.
2.  The clamping jaws close automatically.
3.  The device is now in the preheating phase and heats up. Duration approx. 5 min. at room tem-

perature. The heating phase is displayed by the flashing LEDs starting with LED F. If a heating
step has been reached, the LED is permanently on.

4. If the set temperature has been reached, the display extinguishes and the calibration procedure

starts.

5. After the calibration process the symbols INSERT BINDING MATERIAL and CLOSE CLAMPING

JAWS light up.

6. The device is now ready for operation.
7. If for more than 1 hr. no binding procedure is performed, the device switches to the energy-

saving standby mode.

8. If, for more than 3 hrs., no binding procedure is performed, and the heating is shut-down com-

pletely by the control system. Except the LED F, all other LEDs are switched-off.

9. Pressing the STANDBY button starts the heating procedure again.

Note

It is not possible to start a binding cycle during the preheating phase. The
device is only released from a temperature of 290°F / 143°C.
