6 Troubleshooting
If an error occurs while operating the AccuBind
Pro
2 or if the quality of the bind is not acceptable, the
following table may help to identify the fault.
Repair on the device may only be executed by specially trained personnel.
Fault Description Cause/Remedy
The light at the main switch doesn't light
after switching-on.
•
Check whether power supply is present and the
lines are plugged in.
•
Replace the main fuse as necessary.
No LED lights up on the display.
•
Check whether the cover is closed and locked.
The LED F flashes permanently.
•
The heating control doesn't work.
•
Thermal fuse may be blown. Please contact
customer service.
LEDs A and F light up after clamping the
paper stack.
•
Select correct block thickness.
•
Stack is smaller than .016” (0.4 mm) or thicker
than 1.3” (33 mm) [too many or too few sheets].
Operation mode LEDs and LED A light up.
•
There's an error in the drive or the mechanical
parts of the paper clamping station.
•
The mechanical parts of the clamping station
should be turned and lubricated.
•
Lubricate the spindles and bearings of the me-
chanical parts.
Operation mode LEDs and LED B light up.
•
There's a fault in the heating plate (height of
heating plate).
•
The heating plate height is incorrect. Check free
movement of the motor spindle and lubricate, if
required. Check switching-off point.
Operation mode LEDs and LED C light up.
•
Movement of folding jaws is inhibited.
•
Remove adhesive residues on the heating plate
and below the folding jaws.
•
Check free movement of folding jaws by turning
the white toothed wheel. Lubricate spindles, if
necessary.
Operation mode LEDs and LED D light up.
•
There's a fault in the strip infeed. The Binding
Strip hasn't been fed or placed during the given
time.
•
Remove glue residues from the infeed rolls. Make
sure, that the infeed slot is free of paper and dirt.
When inserting the binding material, the
LED REMOVE BOUND MATERIAL lights
up.
•
Check whether the side bars stick together and
therefore can't fall down.
