1.3 Intended
Use
The AccuBind
Pro
2 is a binding and back stripping device for pads, pamphlets, catalogues and
calendars with a spine length of DIN A5, DIN A4, and 11“.
Bindings may comprise of 5 sheets (with covers) to 330 sheets of 80 g/m² paper. Binding thickness
may be maximum 1.3” (33 mm).
NOTE:
Optimal results will be achieved using minimum of 5 sheets of paper, 20 lb - 32 lb (80 -120 gsm)
bond, with front and back covers of 60 lb - 90 lb (162 gsm - 200 gsm) cover stock.
The device may exclusively be used for the applications described above. Any other use or use be-
yond the one described shall be considered as not being in accordance with the instructions or the
intended use. The manufacturer shall not be liable for any damages resulting from this. The risk shall
be borne by the user himself. Use in accordance with the instructions and for the intended use also
includes compliance with the operating instructions and keeping to service and maintenance work
schedules.
1.4
Warranty and Liability
Guarantee and liability claims in case of human injury or material damage are ruled out if they can be
traced back to one or more of the following causes:
•
Use of the device that is not in accordance with the intended use.
•
Improper assembly, start-up, operation and maintenance of the device.
•
Operating the device with defective and/or inoperable safety and protective devices.
•
Non-compliance with the information in the operating instructions with regard to transport, stor-
age, assembly, start-up, operation and maintenance of the device.
•
Unauthorized constructional changes to the device.
•
Unauthorized changes to the working conditions (performance ...).
•
Inadequate monitoring of system components that are subject to wear.
•
Improperly executed repairs.
•
Disasters caused by the effects of foreign bodies and force majeure.
1.5
Main Operator Responsibilities
The main operator should only allow persons to work on the device who:
•
Have acquainted themselves with the regulations regarding occupational safety and the preven-
tion of accidents and who have been instructed in handling the device.
•
Have read and understood the safety chapter and the warning instructions in this operation
manual.
1.6 Personnel
responsibilities
Persons, who are assigned to work on this machine, commit themselves to:
•
Comply with the regulations regarding occupational safety and prevention of accidents.
•
Have read and understood the safety chapter and the warnings contained in these warning in-
structions before working on this machine for the first time.
