5.5 EDITING Mode

NOTE: The numbers on the drawing indicate the step number below.
1. Calibration has been completed.
2. Select operating mode EDITING using the OPERATING MODE button.
3. LED EDITING lights up.
4. LED INSERT BINDING MATERIAL lights up.
5. LEDs CLOSE CLAMPING JAWS lights up.
6. Adjust the proper opening clearance by pressing the START button or start the editing process
by inserting the paper.
7. If the clamping jaws have been closed too far, press the STOP button to open them again.
8. Place the binding material upright between the clamping jaws with the spine facing downwards
and aligned against the right side.
9. Press the START button.
10. Hold on to the block of paper until the clamping station has closed.
11. Preheating phase – the binding is heated. The clamping station opens.
12. LED BINDING COMPLETED lights up. Remove bound material. The clamping station opens
and moves after removal of the book into the position of the previous book size plus 0.59” (15
mm) opening clearance. Remove respective page and replace with a new page, if required.
