2. DMX512 signal processing and -distribution
During development of the SP1X12 the greatest value was attached
to an optimally fast signal processing and one almost
uninterruptable operation on all outputs in all modes.
All inputs and outputs using standardized and mounted RS485
driving circuits, with 120
Ω termination and an extended ESD
protection. The inputs and outputs are isolated against each other
by optical coupling devices and DC/DC converters.
For direct passing of the coming DMX512 line the input plug
connector is directly connected to the „THRU“ plug connector.
! Important:
The DMX512 data are distributed with an optimal and
standard-compliant timing in all modes apart from 1 to 4 .
If short dropouts or flickering should appear, the lighting devices are
possibly too slow at the reception of the DMX512 data.

3. Displays
The SP1X12 has two LED’s a yellow one over the "term" switch and
a 3 colored one (DMX OK) over the mode selector switch.
The yellow LED shows an activated line termination to the DMX512
input.
The DMX OK LED shows the following conditions:
- LED lit red Î device initializes itself
- LED lit yellow Î device is online, no DMX
- LED lit green Î DMX512 signal is correct
