1. Functional description
The SP1X12 is a basic DMX512 data distributor and amplifier
(splitter/booster) with one input, one THRU and twelve outputs.
The unusual feature of the SP1X12 is the choice of special modes
these determine the behaviour at failure of the DMX512 line.
In addition to these modes the SP1X12 can generate a slower
timing of the DMX512 signal - RETIMER

.
The RETIMER can be helpful if lighting fiktures react to a DMX512
signal transferred with an optimal output rate with flickering or
dropouts.
For a correct line termination of a DMX512 signal the SP1X12 has a
manual push button switch and a LED indicator.
The SP1X12 is deliverable with the following plug connectors:
Neutrik XLR 5pol, XLR 3pol oder RJ45.
It is possible to mix 5 and 3pol XLR in one device.
Furthermore the SP1X12 is still equipped with removable 19 inch
flanges. Without the flanges a desktop use is possible, too.
