Fitting the Exhaust Gas Temperature Sensor
This sensor mounts into the exhaust system. The sensor is fitted with a shaft collar which limits the depth of insertion into the
exhaust system header or expansion box.
The sensor requires clamping in place by means of the compression gland fitting supplied.
Procedure
1.
Braze the gland in place to provide sensor support and exhaust system sealing.
2.
Assemble the sensor in the order shown in the picture. Insert the sensor probe into the exhaust to the required depth (usually
with the end of the probe in the centre of the pipe), and tighten the gland nut to lock it in place.
3.
Connect the sensor to the connector marked EGT BP.
