Use policies
Within the different countries of the European Union, partially
different regulations for using CB radio sets apply. Since 2001,
the R&TTE Directive has replaced all former national conditions
of admission in the European Union. Nevertheless, partially different
national regulations apply to the usage of the frequency spectrum.
In D (80/80 or 40/40, where only CH 1-40 are allowed to be used
in AM) , F, FIN, NL and P the CB operation on 40/40 channels in
AM + FM is
free of licence and free of charge
. If the radio is
programmed to 40 FM only, it may be used
without licence and
free of charge
in D, DK, F, FIN, GB, GR, H, IRL, IS, L, N. NL, P, S
except Austria, where radios with country switches are generally
not allowed, and Italy, where individual licence is requested).
Residents of Belgium, Spain, Switzerland and Great Britain (UK)
need a CB licence in their home country, while travellers from
other European countries may use 40 CH FM during travelling in
these countries free of licence and charge. In Belgium 40 channels
AM is allowed for travellers under the conditions of their home
country.
Our urgent request:
Prior to using your radio set, please take
the compulsory registration in the above mentioned countries
seriously! If you are met with an adjustment subject to registration
and you are not able to present any registration, you risk to be
punished with a severe penalty. The Circulation Card, which is
available at the CB radio clubs or at the
Bundesnetzagentur
(www.bundesnetzagentur.de)

Instructions for installation
For some time, the automobile manufacturers have specified the
positions in and on the motor vehicles at which the radio sets and
its antennas may be mounted.
On the one hand, this is done to protect you from excessive field
intensities inside your motor vehicle, on the other hand to avoid
malfunctions of the electronic system in the car due to radiation.
In any case, you should observe these specifications, since the
type approval of your vehicle can expire otherwise.
Thus, contact your automobile dealer for the corresponding
manufacturer specifications belonging to your car model.
Scope of delivery
The radio set stabo xm 3003 comes with a high-quality hand
microphone with push-to-talk button and attachment as well as
with a mounting device.
The already connected power supply cable is equipped with a
cable retention.
