LAN
A local area network (LAN) is a computer network that user interconnects com-
puters in a limited area such as a home, school, computer laboratory, or office
building using network media. The defining characteristics of LANs, in contrast
to wide area networks (WANs), include their smaller geographic area, and non-
inclusion of leased telecommunication lines.

The 8 position 8 contact (8P8C) connector is a modular connector commonly
used to terminate twisted pair and multi-conductor flat cable. These connectors
