9. CARE AND MAINTENANCE, RECALIBRATION
a)
Do not expose the device to either extreme temperatures, humidity, dust or
direct sunlight.
b)
The cuff contains a sensitive air-tight bubble. Handle this carefully.
c) Clean the device with a soft, dry cloth. Do not use petrol, thinners or similar
solvent.
The cuff must not be immersed.
d)
Do not drop the instrument or treat it roughly in any way. Avoid strong vibrations.
e) Never attempt to repair the instrument yourself!
Any unauthorized opening of the instrument invalidates all guarantee claims!
Periodical re-calibration
Sensitive measuring devices must be checked for accuracy from time to time. We
recommend a periodical inspection of your unit by an authorized dealer every 2
years. Your Spengler dealer would be pleased to provide more information regard-
ing calibration according to the EN 1060-3 / 9.2 standards.
Disposal
Batteries and electronic instruments must be disposed of in accordance with the
locally applicable regulations, not with domestic waste.
10. GUARANTEE
This professional blood-pressure monitor is guaranteed for 3 years from date of
purchase. This guarantee includes the instrument but not the cuff or battery pack,
which are subjected to everyday wear and tear. The guarantee does not apply to
damage caused by improper handling, damage from leaking batteries, accidents,
not following the operating instructions or alterations made to the instrument by
third parties.

Duration:
3 years from the date of purchase. The guarantee should be registered
by our After-Sales Service (guarantee card to be completed and returned to us
within 15 days from purchase).
