Taking a measurement
• Sit patient down, position unit on the table in front of you and plug in the correct
sized cuff on the side of the unit.
• Fit the cuff on the arm so that the tube is facing downwards in the bend of the
elbow. Gently close the cuff.
• Press
O/I
button
Select the measuring mode ( MAM or single).
In
MAM
mode, the blood pressure will be taken three times consecutively at inter-
vals of 15 seconds and an intelligent average will be shown.
• Press the « START » button (if at anytime you need to discontinue a reading, sim-
ply press the «
O/I
» button).
• After the measurement is completed, the systolic and diastolic blood pressures
and the pulse rate appear in the display.
• By pressing the « Time/MAP » button, it is possible to display the MAP: Mean
Arterial Pressure.
• The measurement readings remain on the display until you switch off the
instrument. If no button is pressed for a period of 5 minutes the instrument
switches itself off in order to preserve the batteries.
• To get the latest measurements, press on the «
M
» button.
