7. Maintenance / Repair
We recommend that the BADUTRONIC 93 is checked from time to time by loo-
king through the transparent lid.
Memory function:
In case of a power failure the unit has a back-up that will last for 6 hours.
Every time the BADUTRONIC is cut-off from the mains for a longer period
than those six hours the timer will have to be reprogrammed (see pages
35 and 45.
Through the push button on side of the unit, a backwash-cycle can be activated
manually at any time; By doing so one can check the backwash cycle.
If there is
danger of freezing, the unit must be drained ahead of time in order
to avoid damage and/or malfunctions.
8. Malfunctions
8.1 When the unit leaks to the waste the first thing that must done is initiate a back-
wash cycle because dirt might have set itself on the gasket thus causing a leak.
If this doesn’t help take off the upper part and check the inside or the housing
and replace any defective part.
8.2 If water trickles out between the lid of the valve and the lower part of the motor
housing (black) this indicates a leakage at the shaft coming from the inside
through the centre of the lid. In this case the whole top must be replaced.
Do not seal the lateral openings. They have to remain open in order to let water
flow out.
8.3 When replacing the upper part, please make sure you place the new part cor-
rectly onto housing by putting the corresponding cams opposite one another.
