6. Inbetriebnahme
6.1 Controlling functions
After the mains have been connected to the terminals 1 and 2 of the BADU-
TRONIC 93 and after the Badutronic has been switched on using the red
on/off switch the unit will test its functioning by moving from the position "fil-
ter" further on to the positions "waste”, "backwash” and "rinse” back again to
the position "filter”. After this the unit is ready for operation.
At the same time that the unit is being switched on, the LED of the timer
starts blinking as it does equally when the clock’s reset has been activated.
6.2 After the function control test is finished the timer has to be programmed. It
is absolutely recommended to respect the steps as explained hereafter. After
the programming is completed the programmed functions must be tested.
6.3 An electrician has to test the voltages on the terminals of the BADUTRONIC
93 during the trial run and he has to make sure the pump is disconnected
every time the Badutronic changes position.
6.4 Verify that all ball valves in the pipe work connecting the BADUTRONIC 93
are open.
6.5 Verify that, when the BADUTRONIC 93 is installed below water level, a
spring loaded Speck check valve
is fitted in the waste water line to prevent
malfunctions caused by backflows through the valve while it is changing po-
sitions, see page 47.
6.6 Programme the clock for an automatic backwash cycle.
6.6.1 The yellow operation LED in the unit lights up.
6.6.2 Start trial run through the clock or manually and check durations of back-
wash cycle and rinse cycle.
