4K HDMI Splitter 1x4 with EDID
Item no. 1331173
Intended use
The product receives HDMI-compatible digital AV signals over an HDMI input and resends it simultaneously
over four HDMI outputs. Depending on the input signal, an analogue stereo audio signal and a digital optical
audio signal are also available.
The unit can be operated via the keys on the splitter or via an IR remote control supplied.
An external wall plug transformer enclosed is used to supply power to the splitter. The IR remote control is
operated via a battery of type “CR2025” (included).
Always observe the safety instructions and all other information included in these operating instructions.

Safety Instructions
The warranty will be void in the event of damage caused by failure to observe these safety
instructions! We do not assume any liability for any resulting damage!
We do not assume any liability for material and personal damage caused by improper use
or non-compliance with the safety instructions! In such cases, the warranty will be null
and void.
a) General
• Unauthorised conversion and/or modification of the product is not allowed for safety and approval reasons
(CE). Do not disassemble the product.
• Any maintenance or repair work may only be performed by an expert.
• Do not carelessly leave the packaging material lying around, since it could become a dangerous plaything
for children.
b) Wall plug transformer
• The design of the wall plug transformer complies with Protection Class II. Use only a standard mains
socket as the power source for the power adapter.
• The mains socket into which the wall plug transformer is plugged must be easily accessible.
• Use only the power adapter supplied to power the splitter.
• Do not pull the wall plug transformer from the mains socket by pulling on the cable. Hold it on the sides of
the casing and pull it out of the mains socket.
• Do not touch any wall plug transformer that shows signs of damage; there is a danger to life from electric
shock!
First, switch off the mains voltage to the socket to which the power adapter is connected (switch off at the
corresponding circuit breaker or remove the safety fuse or switch off at the corresponding RCD protective
switch, so that the socket is fully disconnected).
You can then unplug the power adapter from the mains socket. Dispose of the faulty power adapter in an
environmentally friendly way, do not use it any more. Replace it with a power adapter of the same design.
c) Operation
• The product is not a toy. Devices operated on mains voltage should not be used by children. Therefore, be
especially careful when children are around.
Use the product where it is out of the reach of children.
• The product is intended for use only in dry, indoor locations. No part of the product should become damp
or wet; never handle it if your hands are wet!
Wall plug transformers pose the potential risk of a fatal electric shock!
• Avoid the following adverse conditions at the location of installation and during transport:
- Dampness or excessive humidity
- Extreme cold or heat, direct sunlight
- Dust or flammable gases, fumes or solvents
- Strong vibrations, impacts or blows
- Strong magnetic fields such as those found in the vicinity of machinery or loudspeakers
• Do not place objects on the splitter; never cover the splitter.
• Choose a stable, even, flat and sufficiently large surface for the installation.
Version 06/15
• Never use the product immediately after moving it from a cold room into a warm one. The condensation
that forms might damage the product. The wall plug transformer also poses a risk for a potentially fatal
electric shock!
Allow the product to reach room temperature before connecting it to the power supply and putting it into
use. This may take several hours.
• When setting up the product, make sure that the cables are neither kinked nor pinched.
• Handle the product with care; it can be damaged by impacts, blows or falls even from a low height.

Inserting the battery, replacing the battery
• Normally, the battery is already inserted into the IR remote control by the manufacturer. Simply pull out the
protective plastic strip from the IR remote control (it merely serves as a protection from an early discharge
of the battery). The IR remote control is now operational.
• It is necessary to change the battery when the IR range reduces or the splitter no longer reacts to the
control commands of the IR remote control.
Then pull the battery holder (18) out of the IR remote control.
Replace the flat battery with a new battery of type “CR2025”. Ensure correct polarity during insertion (see
imprint “+” on the battery and the battery holder). The positive terminal of the battery points towards the
bottom side of the IR remote control.
Slide the battery holder containing the battery back into the IR remote control, ensuring the correct orienta-
tion.
Dispose of the old, empty battery with respect to the protection of the environment; see chapter “disposal”.
Connection and start-up
a) Set-up and connection
• Connect four HDMI outputs “HDMI OUT 1”.... “HDMI OUT 4” (12) with your monitors/TV sets using the
appropriate HDMI-compatible cable.
“HDMI OUT 4” does not support 4K mode.
• Connect the HDMI input “HDMI IN” (11) with the corresponding output, e.g., of a Blu-ray player.
• Connect the low voltage round plug from the enclosed wall plug transformer to the corresponding sock-
et (10) on the splitter.
• Plug the power adapter into a mains socket.
• Position the splitter in such a way that the IR receiver (4) at the front is not obstructed. Do not cover it;
otherwise operation of the splitter via the IR remote control is not possible.
• Protect the surfaces of valuable furniture by using an appropriate underlay to avoid scratches and pressure
marks.
b) Turning the splitter on/off
• Press the “ ” button on the splitter (9) or on the IR remote control (15) to switch the splitter on or off.
If IR remote control is used, point the IR-LED (19) in the direction of the IR receiver (4) on the splitter
• The Standby LED (8) shows a red light when the splitter is switched off (Standby); the Standby LED will
turn off when the splitter is switched on and ready for operation.
