 SatSeconds Indicator 

 

When the SatSeconds algorithm detects an SpO

2

 value outside the alarm limit, 

the SatSeconds will begin to be counted, and the SatSeconds Indicator begins 
to fill clockwise. Each second the saturation value is in violation of the 
threshold is added to the SatSeconds count. When the SatSeconds count 
meets or exceeds the SatSeconds setting, the SatSeconds indicator is 
completely filled, and the SpO

2

 alarm will be triggered.   

 
When the saturation value is no longer in violation of the alarm limit, the alarm 
will stop and the SatSeconds indicator begins to empty. 

 
Note:

   

If an alarm threshold is crossed three or more times in a 60-second period, an 
alarm will be triggered even if the SatSeconds limit has not been attained..
