4 Brief overview system panel
4.1 Key icons and display (brief overview)
Detailed information on the operation of the S5 System can be found in the associated Operating
Instructions. For ease of navigation, the following pages give you a brief overview of the system menu:
General key icons and displays
Key icons and display on
the system panel
Item Name Function
Icon menu
(in this case:
Pressure 1 + 2)
Tapping on the icon opens the corresponding menu for
entering parameters (in this case: opening the pressure
menu for Pressure channel 1 or 2)
Icon Dn / Up Tapping on the icons changes the associated parameters.

Tapping on Dn reduces the selected parameter.
➜
Tapping on Up increases the selected parameter.
Key icons Page Switches between the pages of a multi-page menu
Key icon Scroll (scroll text) Advances to the next text message in the system menu
Key icon Space (Space key) Enters a space (e.g. when entering text)
Key icon Delete
(delete)
Deletes texts in the entry mode
Key icon Cancel (abort) Closes the current window and returns to the previous
window without saving the data which has been entered or
changed
Key icon Return (Enter key) In all menus:
Confirms the parameters which have been entered and
returns to the previous “menu”
Status display Alarm Display red
Alarm display when the specified stop limit has been
exceeded (e.g. pressure and temperature). An alarm tone
also sounds simultaneously.
Status display Warning Display yellow
– Values have dropped below the specified warning
limits
– Sensor not connected
