Electrical Adjustments
[Preparation]
.
Required tools and measuring instruments
1.
Signal generator: VG-814 or equivalent
2.
Colorimeter
3.
Oscilloscope
Sony Textronix 2465 or equivalent (350 MHz band
width or more)
4.
Signal interface board (IFB-12A)
(Insert this board into the INPUT-B slot.)
5.
Illuminance meter
Note : Do the following at least five minutes after turning
on the main power.
[Entering the Service Mode]
1.
Confirm that STATUS ON is displayed on the menu.
2.
Close the menu.
3.
Press the keys in the following order:
[ENTER]
→
[ENTER]
→
[UP]
→
[DOWN]
→
[ENTER]
.
4.
“<Do you wish to enter into the SERVICEMAN
MODE?>” appears.
5.
Select YES.
[Entering the Factory Mode]
1.
Confirm that STATUS ON is displayed on the menu.
2.
Close the menu.
3.
Enter the service mode.
4.
Press the keys in the following order:
[ENTER]
→
[ENTER]
→
[LEFT]
→
[ENTER]
.
4.
“<Do you wish to enter into the FACTORY
MODE?>” appears.
5.
Select YES.
[Attaching the Lens]
1.
Attach the lens to the optical unit and fix it with the
screws.
2.
Connect the cable of the focus zoom.
3.
Confirm that “Lens not installed” is not displayed on
the LCD of the rear panel.
3-1. Signal Level Adjustment
[Preparation]
1.
Attach an extension board to the BA board.
(Part No : A-1391-047-A XBA extension board)
2.
Connect CH1 of the oscilloscope to the TP963/BA
board and CH2 to the TP1301/BA board (EXT TRIG).
3.
Enter the factory mode.
3-1-1. Component Level Adjustment
1.
Connect the component signal to the INPUT-A
connector and select COMPONENT as SIGNAL
SELECT. (15 k component, 10 step signal, chroma
OFF)
2.
Enter BA-MTRX of device adjust on the menu.
3.
Select 05 SUB BRT and perform adjustments using
the
[LEFT]
and
[RIGHT]
keys so that the black level
and the 0 IRE portion have the same voltage.
4.
Select 01 PICTURE and perform adjustments using
the
[LEFT]
and
[RIGHT]
keys so that the voltage
difference between 0IRE and 100 IRE is 0.7 Vp-p.

5.
Input the component color bar signal in the INPUT-A
connector. (15 k component, 100% color bar, chroma
ON)
6.
Select 12 YUV COL and adjust the levels using the
[LEFT]
and
[RIGHT]
keys so that A and D shown in
Fig. 2 have the same level.
7.
Select 04 SUB HUE and adjust the levels using the
[LEFT]
and
[RIGHT]
keys so that B and C shown in
Fig. 2 have the same level.
