5-2-4.  Optical Axis Adjustment (B01 assy)

Note: 

Optical Axis Adjustment  (B01  assy)  is  done  by  increasing  or 

decreasing the thickness of the washer.

 

Refer  to  “2-2.  DISASSEMBLY”,  disassemble  the  lens,  and 

change the thickness of the washer.

Adjusting Procedure

1.  Remove the filter screw ring assy, referring to the “2-2. DISAS-

SEMBLY”.

2.  Loosen the three screws to fixing the B01 assy.

 

3.  Attach the checking lens to the flange back tester referring to 

the steps 1 to 3 of “Preparations of Using a Camera (General 

Emount Interchangeable Lens Digital Camera)” or “Preparations 

of Using a B-L Control Box”, and set the 1000 mm collimator.

4.  Set the zoom to the TELE end.

5.  Adjust the optical axis by increase or decrease the thickness of 

the 1 group tilt washer so that the ring chart image is centered 

while looking at the 1000 mm collimator.

6.  Perform the “5-2-2. Optical Axis Check”, check that the optical 

axis of checking lens satisfies the specification.

7.  When the specification (reference value) is satisfied, tighten the 

three screws loosened at step 2.
