2-1. Note on Service
2-1-3. Note on Replacement of Flash Memory
The flash memory with built-in ROM (IC36) are mounted on the AT-126 board. The program has been
written into it at the factory.
If the flash memory requires replacing, be sure to replace it with a written one.
When replacing the flash memory, be sure to reset the adjustment and setting values to their factory-set
values referring to Section 2-1-4.
2-1-4. Resetting Adjustment and Setting Values
When the data is lost because of the backup battery exhaustion or when replacing the flash memory, reset
the adjustment and setting values to their factory-set values as follows.
1. Activating the Setup Menu of the camera
Set the DISP switch to the MENU side.
2. Clearing the RAM data
(1) Set the switches S1-1 to S1-4 on the AT-126 board as follows:

Write down the original switch settings in advance.
S1-1 S1-2 S1-3 S1-4
ON ON ON ON
(2) Power on the unit while pressing the CANCEL button.
(3) Power off the unit three seconds after powering on.
3. Loading data from the ROM
(1) Set the switches S1-1 to S1-4 on the AT-126 board as follows:
S1-1 S1-2 S1-3 S1-4
OFF OFF ON ON
(2) Power on the unit while pressing the CANCEL button.
(3) Continue to press the CANCEL button until the message “Trimming File NG” is displayed on the
viewfinder screen.
(4) Power off the unit.
