1ST-ED AUDIO SOURCE settings
USER BITS settings
UB = 00 00 00 00 to FF FF FF FF
User bits are part of the timecode recorded by the
recorder (hexadecimal, 8 digits). Users can set
them to any value. In assemble mode editing,
user bits are recorded in the user bits section of
VITC and LTC timecode. In insert mode editing,
they are recorded in the user bits section of VITC
timecode only.
Factory default setting: 00 00 00 00
Enter with the buttons in the numeric keypad and
confirm by pressing the ENTER button.
If you press the ENTER button after entering
fewer than 8 digits, the system automatically
supplies 0 in the most significant places.
Pressing the 3 (C) button changes the setting to
undefined. An undefined setting is not an error.

1EDASRC = MUTE (VTR-SG)
Specifies the audio signal to use in first edits.
MUTE: Mute.
VTR-SG: Sets the audio signal to a signal
generated by the internal signal generator of
the VTR.
When this setting is made, and the edit type is cut,
you can use the VTR-SG signal as editing
material by selecting it with the BACKGRND
buttons in the SOURCE section of the control
panel. You can also use it as R-REC (recording)
material.
