Data Management

Loading Edits From the EDL

You can load edits from the EDL into the control panel, modify
the edit data, and conduct previews and recording.

There are two ways to load edits from the EDL.
• Load the edit immediately before or after the current edit.
• Load a specified edit.

If the reel name of the currently connected VTR does not
agree with the reel name specified in the edit that you
have loaded

The error message UNMOUNTED REEL appears. Insert the
correct reel (cassette).

To record an edit after loading it (auto assembly)

With the edit loaded from the EDL, press the REC button.
The edit and the following edits in the EDL are recorded.

Note

Edits with REC marks (‘r’, indicating that they have already been
recorded) are not recorded. If you want to record these edits as
well, use the INIT DATA setup menu to remove the REC marks.
