4.3. installing the motor
4.3.1. fitting the mounting system
The motor sealing mounting kit is to be used on a concrete
base.
[1].
Screw two nuts to the studs up to 35 mm.
[2].
Fit the studs through the base plate holes.
[3].
Screw another nut to each stud without tightening it.
[4].
Make a hole in which to place the base plate fixed to the
studs and the flexible pipes for routing the cables.
[5].
Position the base plate, observing the distances, and fix it
in such a way as to keep it flat.
[6].
Anchor to the ground by pouring cement, keeping the base
plate just above the cement with the two nuts completely
on the surface.
[7].
Wait for the cement to set then remove the two nuts.
[8].
Drill two holes at the end of the oblong hole of the base
plate (opposite side to the studs) of a diameter of 12 or
14 mm according to the plugs (not supplied).
[9].
Fit a plug (not supplied) in each hole.
If the motor must be positioned in an area subject
to flooding, the base plate must be cemented at
a sufficient height to prevent water reaching the
motor.
4.1. Before starting installation
-
Check that the gate is fitted with robust support rails.
-
Check that the rail is firmly secured to the ground.
- Check the gate runs perfectly on the rail.
- Install two solid mechanical end stops at either end of the rail.
Installation of mechanical end stops for opening and closing the gate is necessary for the safety of the
installation. The end stops must be installed before the motor is commissioned.
4.2. opening the motor unit
[1].
Remove the side mounting screws.
[2].
Remove the motor cover.
[3].
Remove the plastic strip from the motor unit.
