Quick Start System Setup

Chapter 2

GSR2600

Note:

Although the unit has a moisture and dust-resistant

enclosure, shelter it from adverse environmental conditions
when possible.

Position the antenna over the desired location.

Mount the antenna on a stable structure that will not sway
or topple.

Route and connect the RF coaxial cable between the
antenna and GSR2600.

Note:

For static surveys, skip Step 6.

Connect a radio communications cable to the GSR2600’s
COM2 port. For example, this might be a radio modem for
receiving differential GPS messages from a base station.

Insert a CompactFlash card into the GSR2600.

Connect a power source (For example, battery) to the
GSR2600’s PWR port.

Press the power button to turn on the GSR2600. If available,
the GSR2600 will begin logging according to the stored
configuration.

10. Monitor the status indicators on the LCD display.
