To switch the Adapter from AP mode to Station mode, click
Station mode
at the top of the
main screen (see Figure 3-1).
Viewing Wireless Network Status
Mode: Station mode
Tab: Status
The
Status
tab shows the following information about
the Adapter’s current wireless
connection.
Status
= shows whether the Adapter is
connected or disconnected.
IP Address
= IP address of the wireless
network to which the Adapter is connected.
SSID
= name of the wireless network to
which the Adapter is connected.
Subnet Mask
= subnet mask of the wireless
network to which the Adapter is connected.
Authentication Type
= type of
authentication the adapter is using. To set
authentication, see pages 38 and 43.
Gateway
= gateway to which the Adapter is
connected.
Encryption Type
= type of encryption the
adapter is using. To set encryption, see
pages 38 and 43.
Speed
= speed at which the Adapter is
currently working.
Network Type
= type of network to which
the Adapter is connected (for example,
Infrastructure or Ad-Hoc).
Rx Throughput
= download speed you are
currently experiencing.
Physical Address
= MAC address of the
Adapter.
Tx Throughput
= upload speed you are
currently experiencing.
