Caution
Follow the instructions given below when handling the fieldbus system.
Failing to do so may result in product damage.
Operate the fieldbus system within the specified voltage.
Maintenance space should always be provided around the product.
Do not remove labels from the product.
Do not drop, hit or apply excessive shock to the product.
Follow all specified tightening torques.
Do not bend, apply tensile force, or apply force by placing heavy loads, on the cables.
Connect wires and cables correctly, and do not connect while the power is ON.
Do not route wires and cables together with power or high-voltage cables.
Separate the power line for solenoid valves from the power line for the input and control units.
Check the insulation of wires and cables.
Take proper measures against noise, such as noise filters, when the product is incorporated in
equipment or devices.
Select the required protection (IP) rating according to the environment of operation.
Take sufficient shielding measures when the product is to be used in the following conditions:
where noise due to static electricity is generated.
where electro-magnetic field strength is high.
where radioactivity is present.
where power lines are located.
Do not use the product in a place where electric surges are generated.
Use suitable surge protection when a surge generating load such as a solenoid valve is to be
directly driven.
Prevent any foreign matter from entering this product.
Do not expose the product to vibration or impact.
Do not use the product in an environment that is subject to a temperature cycle.
Use the product within the specified ambient temperature range.
Do not expose the product to any heat radiation.
Do not clean the product with chemicals such as benzene or thinners.
Do not mount in a location where the product will be used as a foothold.
When lifting a large size solenoid valve manifold unit, take care to avoid causing stress to the valve
connection joint.
Be careful regarding the inrush current generated when the power is supplied.
The product does not have resistance against lightning surges required for CE marking; ensure
measures are taken against lightning surge on the equipment side.
Setting the switches
Set the switches using a small screwdriver.
When operating the switches, do not touch parts other than the related parts.
This may lead to failure due to component damage or short-circuit.
Perform switch setting appropriate to the operating conditions.
Inappropriate settings can cause defective operation.
Please refer to the “Setting and adjustment” section of this document for setting the switches.
Please refer to the PLC manufacturer’s manual for details of programming and addresses.
For the PLC protocol and programming refer to the relevant manufacturer’s documentation.
