1 pound extra-lean ground beef
1/2 cup saltine crackers, crushed
1 large onion, diced
1 clove garlic, minced
1 jar tomato sauce (16-ounce)
1 loaf French bread
1/2 cup reduced-fat mozzarella cheese (shredded)
•
Preheat Meatball Maker until ready light turns on.
•
Brush vegetable oil or cooking spray on cooking surfaces.
•
Thoroughly combine the beef, crackers, onion and garlic in a
large bowl.
•
Spoon the meat mixture evenly into the 6 molds. Cook the
meatballs in the meatball factory machine for 7-10 minutes.
•
Close the appliance and press the lid down for a few seconds to
spread the mixture evenly in the molds.
•
Once ready, remove meatballs from the appliance and place
them into a skillet with the tomato sauce.
•
While it’s warming, slice the loaf of French bread in half and use
a fork to scoop out some of the bread in one half, forming a
shallow trench.
•
Spoon the meatballs and sauce onto the bread, sprinkle with
the shredded mozzarella, and top with the other bread half.
