eatballs
Meatballs:
1 ½ lbs ground beef
2⁄3 cup cracker crumb
2⁄3 cup evaporated milk
1 tsp. seasoning salt
1⁄3 cup flour
3 tbsp shortening
Sauce:
1 (13 ½ ounce) can pineapple chunks
5 tsp/ cornstarch
½ cup vinegar
2 tbsp lemon juice
1 tbsp soy sauce
½ cup brown sugar
1 green pepper , chopped into bite size chunks
1 (4 ounce) can pimientos , drained (maraschino cherries can be used
instead)
•
Preheat Meatball Maker until ready light turns on.
•
Brush vegetable oil or cooking spray on cooking surfaces.
•
In a bowl, combine the first four ingredients, mix well, but lightly.
•
Spoon the meat mixture evenly into the 6 molds. Cook the
meatballs in the meatball factory machine for 7-10 minutes.
•
Once ready, roll ready meatballs in flour and brown in the
shortening.
•
Place in a casserole dish and cover with the sweet and sour
sauce.
Sauce:
•
Drain pineapple (set aside)- reserve juice.
•
Add water to the juice to make 1 cup liquid.
•
In a pot over medium heat, blend cornstarch in the juice, then
add vinegar, lemon juice, brown sugar, and soy sauce, cook until
clear. Then add the pineapple, green pepper, and pimento.
•
Pour over the meatballs and bake at 350°F for 30 minutes.
