Apply
firm hand pressure
around the outside of the battery cover before tightening
the screws (Figure 31).

Tighten the screws (four places) with a #2 Phillips torque screwdriver. Torque
screws to
0.7 N-m (6 in-lb)
. The terminal automatically powers on once the batteries
are inserted. Once the terminal has power, the LED emits a few short flashes.
Note:
The battery cover should lay flat on the terminal base when properly
assembled and all four screws must be tightened.
CAUTION
Do not over torque the battery
cover screws as this voids
the warranty.
4.5.2 Recharge the Batteries
Rechargeable batteries should be fully charged (4 hours) prior to initial use. The batteries
can be recharged by connecting either an external power cable (ST100165) or an IDP 800
AC power adapter cable (ST100164).
