8 Operation of web interface
8.1
Password
As soon as the web interface of the IP gateway is opened, you are asked to login with your user name and password,
the default setting is here as follows:
User name:
admin
Password:

Attention
The password is necessary for the IP gateway’s configuration, it should be kept se
-
cret and should be changed after a successful first configuration. After that it should
be kept in a safe place (see chapter “Password“ on page 65) to avoid abuse.
8.2
Adding residents (= Clients)
In the SIP configuration menu
of the IP gateway II you can
now start editing clients, i. e.
the user of a terminal device.
If you are in a different menu
click on
SIP Configuration
on
the left hand menu.
To add a user click on
+ Client
. If there is already an existing client, you can overwrite the settings as you like.
8.2.1
Login and User
Enter a user name under
Login
and add a password in the field
Password
with the help of which the user can log
in on his terminal device later. For both neither mutated vowels nor spaces may be used. Both must be passed on
to the owner of the terminal device.
