Product Description
This manual deals with mounting, installing and starting a DOL 278AT temperature-controlled
emergency opening system. For information about daily use of the system, see the
DOL 278AT User’s

DOL 278AT is a state-of-the-art emergency opening unit providing optimum safety in connection with
technical failures. This is achieved by means of a separate temperature sensor and manual setting of
the temperature limit for emergency opening. DOL 278AT opens only as much as needed.
DOL 278AT regulates every three minutes. If the house temperature exceeds the setting of the
temperature button by e.g. one degree, the shutters open only for a few seconds every three minutes,
i.e. 40-60 minutes for complete opening with a DA 75 winch motor. If the house temperature exceeds
the setting of the temperature button by e.g. six degrees, the shutters open for several seconds every
three minutes, i.e. 6-10 minutes for complete opening with a DA 75 winch motor.
Thanks to its own outdoor temperature sensor, DOL 278AT takes high summer temperatures into
consideration. Therefore, DOL 278AT does not activate the emergency opening function when a too
high indoor temperature is caused by an extra high outdoor temperature which cannot be removed by
ventilation anyway.
Emergency opening is not available for all control failures.
DOL 278AT and its settings are monitored by the climate computer which triggers an alarm, for
example if DOL 278AT´s temperature button for emergency opening has been set too high or if the
battery voltage is too low.
DOL 278AT has been designed especially for the harsh house environment. This applies both to
climatic and electrical impacts. The system has a built-in 24 VDC motor power supply unit,
maintenance-free battery and charger.
DOL 278AT is available in the following models:
