13.6.3 Testing Battery Capacity
13.6.3.1 Testing Battery Voltage
DOL 278AT automatically checks the battery voltage and the 15A fuse by briefly reducing the
charging voltage (approx. 5 seconds) every 3 minutes.
The check can also be carried out manually by turning the button to Test .
13.6.3.2 Testing the Battery Capacity with disconnected Mains
Voltage/Phase Break
1) Check that one of the battery lamps lights yellow or green.
(If the red battery lamp is on, the battery is almost discharged and should be charged for 10
minutes before the test, or the 15A battery fuse/battery wire is disconnected).
2) Switch of the 115, 200 or 230/240V mains voltage for the DOL 278AT emergency opening
and the climate computer.
3) Check that the relevant battery lamp is flashing and that the upper red lamp(s) is/are on
indicating a power failure/phase break.
4) Turn one of the emergency temperature buttons (counterclockwise) to 10°C = ' TEST '
.
5) Check that the red emergency opening lamp and the green opening lamp switch
on and are constantly on.
6) Check that the system opens in the correct house.
7) Check that the green or yellow battery lamp is still on.
For 2-house emergency opening, carry out the same procedure in house 2 while house 1 is still
completely open. This is to ensure that the battery capacity is sufficient for opening both houses.
8) Switch the mains voltage on again.
9) Turn the emergency temperature button back to the required position.
The climate computer must reset the shutters.
