Caution: Rivet the rivet nuts underneath the luggage compartment

lining only on the left-hand side of the vehicle.
On the right-hand side, however, the bolt must be removed once the

hole is made in the luggage compartment lining. Then the adapter can

be fitted.

Place the cover cap (F) onto the protruding shaft of the adapter and then press it in.

Please note: Position the cover cap such that it lies completely flat

against the luggage compartment lining.

The procedure for creating the attachment point for the trunk grille in the luggage com-
partment lining on the right-hand side of the vehicle is the same, with the exception of
riveting the rivet nuts.

Insert the trunk grille (A) into the vehicle’s luggage compartment and position it on the
prepared attachment points.

Caution: Make sure that you do not damage the C-pillar trim or the

luggage compartment lining in any way.

Secure the grille in place using the plastic-head screws (B).

›

Fully tighten the bolts manually.

Visually check that the trunk grille is secured correctly. Place the retractable
luggage compartment cover into the vehicle (fig. 18). Fold the rear seat backs
back into place.

Provide the customer with the following information when

handing over the vehicle

We recommend that a grille is not used at the same time as a retractable lug-

gage compartment cover.
