Product description
1.1 SKF Multilog On-line System IMx-16Plus
The IMx-16Plus is a latest generation
‘
IMx
’
and though the same physical size as an
IMx-8, has extended channel count and interfacing capabilities. For example, it can
support 16 analogue inputs (eight constant current accelerometers or voltage inputs
and a further eight that in addition have, PT1000 compatibility for temperature
monitoring).
An overview of these extended capabilities is shown in
specific features and capabilities follow.

There are four digital inputs for speed, it is mobile data capable and has RS485 and
LAN interfaces. Note that mobile data and LAN (RJ45 or Wi-Fi) connectivity are all
alternative infrastructures to connect the IMx-16Plus to wider networks and cannot be
used simultaneously.
It is supplied with demountable terminals for digital I/O, RS485 and analogue sensor
wiring etc. as well as type specific connectors for some of the interfaces and antenna
connections. If required, the RS485 link can interface by Modbus RTU to an external
(optional) GPS module.
A Bluetooth dongle provides a convenient means of accessing the IMx-16Plus, from
the SKF Multilog IMx Manager app. This app is used for a SAT (Site Acceptance
Test), device network configuration and is the companion app if the IMx is used in
stand-alone mode. Note that user access must be pre-arranged, refer to section
