10.5 Measurement of the insulation resis-
tance
WARNING
Electric shock
Do not touch the terminals when
measuring the insulation resist-
ance. Wear insulating gloves. Ob-
serve the manual of the insulation
measurement device.
NOTICE
Risk of damage to the motor
The voltage applied for the insulation test
must not exceed 500 V.
Before the first start-up and after longer
downtimes measure the insulation resistance
following the standards (e. g. VDE 0100 / DIN
EN 61557-1:2007) valid in the country of
use.
If the insulation resistance falls below the
required minimum value, determine and
eliminate the cause (e.g. appropriate drying of
the coil, etc.).
