3. Overview, functional description

Operating principle:
The gear (5) reduces the speed of the mo-
tor (6) to the required speed of the pump's
eccentric shaft. The eccentric shaft drives
the pump elements (3) and the stirring
paddle in the reservoir.
The stirring paddle homogenizes and ven-
tilates the lubricant and pushes it in the
direction of the suction boreholes of the
pump elements (3).
The pump elements (3) supply the lubri-
cant via the pistons' movements. Here it is
distinguished between the suction phase
(suction of lubricant out of the reservoir)
and the pressure phase (supply of lubricant
into the lubrication line).
Where applicable, one or two sensors de-
tect the filling level of the lubricant in the
reservoir. When reaching the minimum or
maximum admissible quantity a low-level
respectively high-level signal is given.
