Troubleshooting
CAUTION:
Only authorized personnel should engage in the troubleshooting
process. Troubleshooting by unauthorized persons could result in personal injury
or equipment damage.
The bed will not operate with all functions unresponsive:
One or more functions fail to operate, the motor(s) will not activate:
Bed
fails to lift or recline fully:
•
Inspect all mechanical components to make sure they are free of any obstacles that
may restrict movement and are in good working order.
NOTE:
If the troubleshooting process does not solve the problem please contact a SizeWise
representative for service.
•
Ensure bed is plugged into power source and battery fully charges.
•
Make sure all cables are properly connected and secure.
•
Controller indicator light illuminates green.
•
Check Attendant Control, verifying all Lockouts are deactivated.
•
Ensure all cables are properly connected and secure.
•
Inspect Hand Pendant for damage and ensure it is properly connected to Controller.
•
Check Attendant Control, verifying all Lockouts are deactivated.
Bed quits after repeated use.
•
Actuators may have overheated, wait 10 minutes to cool and try bed again.
Bed
ceases operation and automatically engages "
lockout
"

2 manual lockout release options are available and depicted in the following
figures.
This
feature is in place to eliminate un-intended movement of the bed.
On the Attendant Control Board:
Simultaneously press the Master lock
button and the CPR button and hold for 5 seconds. The lockout will release.
On the Hand-held Controller:
Simultaneously press the up arrow for the
head section and the up arrow for the foot section and hold for 5 seconds.
The lockout will release.
