Common specifications for single-beam and split-beam versions:
Frequencies: 38, 70, 120, 200 and 710 kHz
Transmitting power: 50 to 250 W, see table on next page.
Range: 1, 5, 10, 25, 50, 100, 150, 250, 500, 1000, 1500
and 2500 m
Phasing: 0 to 2500 m in 1-m increments.
Display: Echogram in 12 colours (3 dB per colour)
Colour scale related to true volume back-
scattering strength or target strength.
Scope presentation of echo signal amplitude
Layers: Up to 10 surface or bottom locked layers.
Integrator: Virtually unlimited dynamic range. Inde-
pendent integration within each layer.
Data storage: Selected EY 500 data and echogram written
to hard disk in real time.
Calculation intervals: Ping, time or simulated speed.
Replay function: For storing and replaying sample data.
