Notes:
1. The SCC cabinet must be in the same room and within 20’ of the BMUX, and wired within rigid conduit.
The 617-278 Class A monitor board, located in the SCC cabinet adjacent to the BMUX being replaced must
be saved and re-wired as shown. The harness connecting to P2 must also be retained from the existing SCC
and wired as shown. Connections to the 2120 Power Preamps must be removed. Power to the 2120 Power
Preamps must be disconnected.
2. Aux power connection on power supply (SPS or XPS) may be used to provide power to the Class A monitor
board. The 24V is dropped to reset class A latch.
3. Maintain continuous shield connection throughout field wiring.
4. Program the zone module point as normally open. An audio Class A trouble is detected as a closed contact.
The zone module must share a common 0V with the Aux power supply.
5. Audio Riser maximum distance 10,000 ft with
#18 AWG (minimum).
6. Maximum voltage 25 Vrms, maximum short circuit current 2.25A (over-current protected).
7. Audio wiring must use twisted shielded wiring when run in the same conduit as other circuits.
