10.1. Replacing anti-static bars.
The VolumION must be disconnected from the mains voltage and the power unit before
replacing the anti-static bars. See also the power unit user manual.
The metal protective sleeve of the high voltage cable must also be replaced along with the anti-
static bars.
- Disconnect the high voltage cable, including the metal protective sleeve, from the power unit.
- Dismantle the VolumION and the high voltage cable from the machine if necessary.
- Turn the two screws on the front of the VolumION a quarter turn to the left. The front plate is
now unlocked.
- Remove the front plate from the air duct.
- Carefully remove the anti-static bars from the air duct (see chapter 8.2).

- Fit the new hose union to the air duct.
- Push the high voltage cable of the replacement anti-static bars from the inside of the air duct
through the union.
- Carefully place the anti-static bars in the air duct and make sure they are firmly locked in the
four holes of the air duct.
- Fit the front plate on the air duct.
- Turn the two screws a quarter turn to the right so the front plate is firmly fastened to the air
duct. Make sure that the holes of the front plate are centred in relation to the emitter points.
See figure 7.
- Slide the metal protective sleeve fully over the high voltage cable.
- Tighten the union nut on the union in the air duct.
- If necessary fit the VolumION and high voltage cable to the machine again.
- Connect the high voltage cable to the power unit. Please refer to the user's manual for
the power unit.
