4.5 WORKING WITH OPTION "DETECTOR OF NON-LINEAR TRANSITION".
Connect the ST131.AWLN adapter to the ST131 main unit.
To obtain reliable results it is necessary to disconnect the explored line from external sources
and consumers as well as remove any explicit loads and the length of the line should not exceed 200
m.
Connect ST131.AWLN to the explored line using the RJ-45 connector or the probe connector
(Figure 5).
After selecting in start MENU the "NON-LINEAR JUNCTION DETECTOR" option, the scale of
signal level with all numbers on pairs of contacts of RJ-45 connector will appear on the screen.
After the passage of adaptation to the connected line, the serial automatical measurements will
happen with displaying the levels of the second and third harmonics of the test signal.
Indication of the presence of the investigated line connection to electronic device with non-
linear radioelements in its input circuit is an increased level of the third harmonic of the test signal.
