4 WORKING WITH THE ST131
4.1 WORKING WITH “RADIO” CHANNELS.
4.1.1 PREPARATION FOR OPERATION IN “RADIO 0.01–30 MHz” CHANNEL.
Plug in to the "CH1" socket of the main unit with supplied telescopic antenna or with the other,
corresponding to a given range.
When using ST131 as a panoramic analyzer plug in intermediate frequency output of the radio
emitting device to the “CH1” connector with HF cable.
It is desirable to use “ST131Analyzer Pro” software for better display information.
Turn on the main unit and select the "RADIO 0.01-30 MHz” channel.
4.1.2 PREPARATION FOR OPERATION IN “RADIO 30–4400 MHz” CHANNEL.
Insert batteries in ST131.UHF converter (see section 1.7) or connect to a power supply.
Connect UHF antenna ST131.UHF.A.
Connect ST131.UHF converter to the “I/O” socket of the main unit.
Switch on ST131.UHF by moving power switch to “ON” position (position 4, Figure 3). Control one
time lighting of the indicator “LINK” and continuous lighting of “ON/LOW BAT”.
Turn on the main unit and select from MENU - "RADIO 30–4400 MHz” channel.
Thereafter, within a few seconds there will be identification and verification of ST131.UHF converter
followed by successive messages "Plug the ST131.UHF" and "Checking of the ST131.UHF". At the end
of the information on the screen will correspond to the FULL RANGE mode. In this mode there is a
sequential scan of the range, which is accompanied by a flashing indicator «LINK» of the ST131.UHF
converter once per second. When you select "BAND" or "DEMODULATION", this indicator is off (stop
scanning).
4.1.3 PREPARATION FOR OPERATION IN “RADIO 4-18 GHz” CHANNEL.
Connect SHF detector ST131.SHF to the “I/O” socket of the main unit.
Switch on the main unit and select in MENU - “RADIO 4–18 GHz” channel.
4.1.4 OPERATION IN “RADIO 30-4400 MHz” CHANNEL.
In advance, if possible, it is necessary to ensure secrecy of the search operations together with
the creation of conditions for activation - as well as remotely switched STM and STM based on GSM and
3G standards. Optimal for this purpose is an imitation of an important meeting with the appropriate
sound accompaniment. The real situation may be complicated for example, if the room has secretly
installed cameras.
It is expedient to consider a real microphone sensitivity of STM when searching. This is
corresponded usually no more than 10 meters. As a rule, attempts to establish STM as close as possible
to the venue of the negotiations – at the meeting table or interior elements in the immediate vicinity.
It is also need to be considered that:
