5.2 Standard Web pages

SINAMICS CONNECT

Operating Instructions, 10/2018, A5E45421408

Procedure

Download the upgrade file (.zip) from the customer support Web site

(

https://support.industry.siemens.com/cs/ww/en/ps/25436

) to the local drive on your PC.

Choose the "Update Software" menu from the navigation bar.

On the upgrading home page, click “Browse” to navigate to and select the local upgrade

file (.zip).

Click "Save" to save the file into the device. Then wait until a message box displays,

indicating that the file saving succeeds and the device will be upgraded after a restart.

Note: Clicking "Delete" removes the uploaded file.

Restart the device, and the upgrade is executed automatically.
Note: After the upgrade completes, the Web browser displays the current version number

of firmware in the upper-left corner of the Web pages.

Result

●

If the upgrade succeeds, the updated version of firmware runs directly after restart.

●

If the upgrade fails, the last version of firmware keeps running after restart.

5.2.6.3

Downloading system logs

The Web server provides you with the function of downloading system logs of the SINAMICS

CONNECT, from which you can obtain the running status, information on faults and alarms,

and other information of the SINAMICS CONNECT.
