Powerboost
The powerboost function temporarily increases the power of the
highest heat setting. Food is heated up particularly quickly.
Powerboost is available for all hotplates.
Restriction
The hob consists of 2 groups:
■
Group 1 = left hotplates
■
Group 2 = right hotplates
Powerboost can only be selected for one hotplate in each
group. The second hotplate must not be in use. If the second
hotplate is in use,

flash alternately in the display.
Powerboost is not activated. The hotplate heats up at heat
setting 9.
Activating powerboost

Set heat setting 9.

appears in the display. Powerboost is activated.
Deactivating powerboost
Touch the

disappears from the display. Powerboost is deactivated.
Note:
Powerboost automatically switches off if there is a risk of
the hob overheating.
Timer
You can use the timer in two different ways:
■
for automatic hotplate switch-off.
■
as a kitchen alarm.
Automatic hotplate switch-off
Enter a cooking time for the relevant hotplate. When the
cooking time has elapsed, the hotplate switches off
automatically. You can set a cooking time of up to 99 minutes.

Set the cooking time on the control panel.
To do this, slide your finger repeatedly over the control panel
until the desired cooking time appears or keep touching a
point on the control panel until the desired cooking time
appears:
In the left-hand half
the minutes count back
In the right-hand half
the minutes count forward.
After a few seconds, the timer starts counting down.
When the cooking time has elapsed, the hotplate switches off.
You will hear a signal.
