System architecture
This configuration allows for the integration of 3

party subsystems equipped with an
OPC server.
OPC connectivity for subsystems can be provided in
“
light
”
or
“
full
”
mode.
- Light: Free, but requires more engineering (e.g. SIMATIC S7)

Communication / connection

party subsystems are connected via Ethernet to the OPC server, which may run on
the MM8000 Management Station or on a networked PC. MM8000 connects to the
OPC server for all of the communication to/from the subsystems.
