Optimizing the Sony UP-D23 MD Printer
Configuration
You can optimize the Sony UP-D23 MD printer configuration for either high
quality printing or high speed printing (factory default).
Use the system presets to restore factory default settings for all connected
printers that have Windows printer drivers.
To optimize the Sony UP-D23 MD printer for high speed printing
(factory default):
1. Display the Windows Properties dialog box for the printer.
2. Select the Paper tab and then select the High Speed check box.
3. Select the Graphics tab.
4. Select Color Balance from the Color Adjust drop-down box at the top
of the tab and enter the following values recommended by Siemens:
Field for the Color Balance selection
Value Recommended for
High Speed Printing
Cyan – Red 0
Magenta – Green 0
Yellow – Blue 1
5. Select
Lightness
from the
Color Adjust
drop-down box and enter the
following values recommended by Siemens:
Field for the Lightness selection
Value Recommended for
High Speed Printing
Sharpness 14
Dark -5
Gamma -8
Light 5
6. Select the Gray Balance tab and enter the following values
recommended by Siemens:
Field for the Gray Balance tab
Value Recommended for
High Speed Printing
Gray Balance A 40
Gray Balance B 40
7. Select OK to save changes and exit the Windows Properties dialog box.
8. To exit the Presets menu, press the Presets key.
