Clean the fiber of remnants of the
buffer with a lint-free cloth.

Remove the forcing nut (b) and the
buffer and Kevlar clamp (c) from the
body of the connector (d).
12.
First push the anti-kink sleeve (a)
and then the forcing nut (b) over the
fiber and the core sleeve.
13.
Push the buffer and Kevlar clamp
(c) over the fiber as far as the core
sleeve.
14.
Feed the Kevlar yarn through the
opening.
15.
Remove the dust protection cap (e)
from the body of the connector (d).
Note:It is easier to maneuver the Kevlar
threads through with twisting
movements.
16.
Thread the connector body (d) with
the ferrule on to the fiber as far as it
will go.
Note:If the fiber catches while feeding it
through, a short piece needs to be cut
off the end of the fiber with a side
cutter.
17.
Screw the forcing nut (b) and connector body tight (d).
When screwing them together, make sure that the buffer and Kevlar clamp (c)
s not skew.

18.
Push the anti-kink sleeve (a) onto the forcing nut (b).
Note:The fiber should extend at least 30 mm out of the ferrule. Otherwise the
plug must be fitted again.
