Procedure
After roughly aligning the device during mounting, fine adjustment is performed using
the SOPASair operating software.
1.
In SOPASair, open the
Operation
window.
2.
Enable the
Continuous measurement
and
Display image
switches.
✓
The device starts capturing and evaluating images. The device transmits the
images to the computer.
3.
Finely adjust the device mechanically using the image so that the following factors
exist:
°
Positioning mark (red) is within the target region (green).
°
Holes: The image is sufficiently illuminated that the light-colored light spot is
uniformly visible around the dark hole.
°
Reflectors: The image is sufficiently illuminated that the light reflector is
clearly differentiated from the dark background.
✓
If the positioning mark is within the target region, the feedback LED on the device
lights up green.
✓
If the positioning mark is within the target region, the circle in the center in the
Digital output
area in SOPASair is green. The surrounding squares are black.
NOTE
Single-deep and double-deep rack storage application:
•
InspectorP621: The device automatically focuses on the configured double
deep working distance.
•
InspectorP631: The optics are already pre-focused at a distance that is suita‐
ble for most applications. Adjustment of the focus position is only necessary
in rare cases. For single-deep and double-deep rack storage applications,
focus the device on the double deep working distance.
4.
InspectorP631: Manually adjust the focus screws on the upper side of the device
to optimize the focus position. Use a SW2 hexagon key.

Performing a calibration

Procedure
In order to receive exact position correction values from the device, the working
distance and the circle diameter of the positioning mark must be calibrated. For a
single-deep and double-deep rack storage application, first calibrate the device for the
single deep rack.
