4.4.10.2. Backlight OFF time
The parameter can take values “No” and from 1 to 60 minutes. The parameter value
can be changed both by the use of LEFT and RIGHT arrows and by entering a number.
Entering “0” corresponds to the “No” value.
If this parameter has a nonzero value, then, upon expiration of the preset time (1-60
minutes) after any button was pressed last, display backlight will switch off
automatically. Backlight will switch on again upon pressing any button.
Switching off backlight reduces power consumption and increases duration of operation
from the battery without charging.
4.4.10.3. LCD contrast
The parameter can take values from 20% to 90%. The parameter value can be changed
both by the use of LEFT and RIGHT arrows and by entering a number.
4.4.10.4. Key beeps
This parameter can take values “No” and “Yes”. The parameter value can be changed
using the LEFT and RIGHT arrows. With the “No” value, a short audible signal
accompanying pressing of buttons will be disabled.

HW diagnostics… - Display
4.4.11.1. Screen
Execution of this menu option causes all screen points to switch on. This enables
checking integrity of the display, i.e., the absence of faulty points. This checking is
stopped by pressing the ESC button.
4.4.11.2. Backlight
Execution of this menu option causes saw-tooth variations of the display backlight
brightness from minimum to maximum and backward. This checking is stopped by
pressing the ESC button.
4.4.11.3. Contrast
Execution of this menu option causes saw-tooth variations of the display contrast from
minimum to maximum and backward. This checking is stopped by pressing the ESC
button.
4.4.11.4. Keypad
Execution of this item results in cleaning the bottom (information) portion of the screen.
Besides, pressing any button (apart from ON-OFF) causes identification mark of the
pressed button to be displayed in the bottom part of the screen. Once the button is
released, the identification mark disappears. This enables to check normal operation of
all buttons. This checking is stopped by pressing and releasing the ESC button.
4.4.11.5. Sound
Execution of this menu option causes variable tone audible signal to sound
continuously. This checking is stopped by pressing the ESC button.
